Was a Nice Dream Pink

Luke Chiswells Chateau Marmont series transforms the ordinary into the iconic. Each hand-pulled screenprint captures notes the artist wrote while staying at the legendary Los Angeles hotel, preserving them on its unmistakable letterhead. Chiswells abstract script blurs the line between text and art, evoking the transient thoughts and layered history of the space. The works are as much about the fleeting moment as the enduring mystique of the hotel itself.
