Sveta Scantrait 2020

DESCRIPTION

Archival ink on museum-quality cotton rag paper | 2020

In Lanes series SCANTRAITS the LA-based photographer utilizes multimedia techniques to distort and experiment with the concept of portraiture.
I consider these photos to be more like objects. I was excited to explore shapes and colors and expressions as usual, but was even more connected while crumpling the results in my hand and gluing a piece of plastic to the images. Scantraits consumed many many hours of my days during quarantine and Ill be forever grateful. – Danny Lane
