Rectangles in Red Ocher n 1

In his Shapes Gradient series, Ryan Snow distills form, color, and rhythm into quiet meditations on harmony and space. Working with earth-based pigmentsranging from locally foraged ochres in the Ojai mountains to traditional indigos sourced from JapanSnow grounds each piece in natural materiality and environmental awareness. Monochromatic shapes, subtle gradients, and repeating geometric forms emerge through intuitive brushwork on raw canvas, creating a visual language that feels both ancient and modern. Minimal yet resonant, the works invite viewers into a suspended moment where time collapses and stillness prevails. Shapes Gradient is a study in motion, balance, and inner peaceoffering a deeply felt reflection on the relationship between form, space, and intention.
