New Mexico Car

DESCRIPTION

Archival ink on museum-quality cotton rag paper | 2020

Location: New Mexico

In the winter of 2020, with his Leica camera in hand, Lane ventured out on a cross-country road trip with his fianc in a white Buick Encore. While in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, he sought out the American landscape, capturing the beauty in the mundane and the stillness caused by the country coming to a halt. From an unclaimed newspaper to a closed bus stop, Lanes raw, grainy photographs are snapshots of the quick in-between moments while stopping along the way from Los Angeles to New York City.
