Lychees in Syrup

DESCRIPTION

35mm film, developed and printed on Ilford Multigrade photo paper | 2021

In the summer of 2021, editorial photographer Danny Lane made a decision to keep his camera out of its case between in-house shoots. The result is a vibrant new series of images shot entirely on film that feels like a road trip from Staten Island to Manhattan and across to Glendale and Palm Springs. The mingling of New York City street photography crowds, cars, and cans stacked on a bodega shelf with images of friends and strangers in California gives the new series a sense of fun, anticipation, and spontaneity. Letting his images transport you to new places and intimate moments among friends.
