Jiffy Windowsill Greenhouse and Jiffy-7 Refills

Now you can start your seeds on the desktop at work, along the narrow bathroom windowsill, or just about any place you like. This very compact, easy-to-use seed starting greenhouse includes 12 Jiffy-7 disks, already pre-drilled with a planting hole. Just add water, watch them swell up, drop your seeds in, and off you go.

Lightweight and convenient, this recyclable tray even includes a plastic humidity dome to help stabilize the temperature within the greenhouse, helping seeds to germinate more quickly. When the little seedlings appear, move the greenhouse to a sunny spot and remove the dome to maximize air circulation. Then, when it’s time to transplant, just pop out the fat, round Jiffy-7’s and plant them directly into the garden or container. Your plant’s roots will grow right through the Jiffy-7 and into the soil.

The Windowsill Greenhouse is just 2 inches high (1 inches without the removable dome), 11 inches long, and 4 inches wide. It really is small enough to fit on today’s narrow windowsills. What a great way to start kids growing their first garden or to keep a supply of houseplants “in the making” on top of the fridge.

Jiffy is a trusted name in seed-starting media, and you can count on these compressed peat moss disks to be reliable and high-performing. The best thing about this dandy little tray is that not only is it economical, it’s completely earth friendly. Just recycle it when you’re finished. Available Refills

The 36mm pellets are the best-selling size because they allow more plants to be started in a smaller area. 72 of the 36mm pellets fit a standard 10″ x 20″ plant tray. Refills available in packs of 36 (09093-PK-36).

The 42mm pellets are preferred for starting plants that grow larger and more quickly because they allow plants longer before they need to be transplanted. 50 of the 42mm pellets fit a standard 10″ x 20″ plant tray. Refills available in packs of 25 (06039-PK-25).
