Antique Pyrography Box (1890-1910) – Wooden Box with Brass Hinges

Beautifully Etched Vintage Storage Box – Antique Pyrography Box

Wooden Box For Keepsakes, Storage or Just Display

We found this special item at a local antique warehouse, and had to bring it to our store. Pyrography was a popular technique for decorating that became popular in the Victorian Era. It literally means “writing with fire”, and practitioners used a thin poker that was heated in fire. This glove storage box is decorated with flowers, and in very good shape. The hinges are small brasssquares and it opens and closes easily. Use your imagination and display and store all types of knickknacks on a mantle, shelf or counter.

Dimensions: 6″ L x 2.5″ W x 1 3/4″ D
