Planting & Care

1. Planting: Choose a location that receives full sunlight. Most junipers arent picky about soil, though well-draining and rich soil is always best. Dig a hole twice the size of the trees root ball. Mix in compost to the soil before placing the juniper in the hole and backfilling it with soil.

2. Watering: Junipers have average watering needs. Water more frequently during the first year until the tree is established and during periods of drought.

3. Fertilizing: Use a slow-release fertilizer designed for evergreens, applying annually in the spring.

4. Pruning: No pruning is required. The Gold Cone Juniper grows best when left to fill in its natural shape.
